The Federal Motorway Toll Act (BFStrMG) enacted on 21 November 2023 introduced a new "LKW Maut" pricing system based on CO2 class. From 1 July 2024, it will extend the toll charge to utility vehicles and heavy goods vehicles with a technically permissible maximum mass (F1) of more than 3.5 tonnes. This brings Germany into line with the other existing toll networks, GoMaut, Viapass and TIS PL.
From 1 July 2024, commercial vehicles and heavy goods vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes will be subject to the "LKW Maut" toll tax. However, there are some exceptions:
- Utility vehicles for craftsmen and people in comparable professions, weighing slightly less than 7.5 tonnes
- Zero-emission vehicles - CO2 class 5 with an F1 weight less than or equal to 4.25 tonnes
AS 24 is now adapting its solutions to the new requirements of the CO2 regulations. Whether you buy an e-ticket or use your PASSango telebadge, AS 24 can help you comply with these new regulations, whatever your habits.
