Toll Collect was awarded the Germany’s toll concession.

Since 2005, a road tax for HGVs over 7.5 tones (LKW-Maut) was implemented on the German highway network.

In addition, since 1 August 2012, almost 1,135 kilometres of 4-lane national roads are also subject to the tax.

The amount of tax depends on the number of kilometres travelled, the number of axles and the vehicle's EURO emission category.

The network of roads subject to tolls can be found on the Toll Collect website.

Your AS 24 toll solutions in Germany: how do they work?

As an AS 24 customer, you can pay the toll tax in Germany 2 different ways, using the OBU or the AS 24 EUROTRAFIC card.

The OBU (On Board Unit), an automated system

On board your vehicle, the OBU allows you to pay the toll tax via a satellite system.

To get the OBU, you must register with Toll Collect.

Simply send a form to Toll Collect (by fax or by mail)! After validation of your registration, you will receive a free “vehicle card”. You will need it to install your OBU and to register on the internet.

Important : the OBU must be installed by an authorised installer (list available on the Toll Collect website).

To do it manually: on the Internet or with an AS 24 EUROTRAFIC card

By registering on the Toll Collect website, you have the option to declare your future routes. In case of control, your drivers will have to present proof of these routes.

If your fleet only travels in Germany occasionally, you can declare and pay for your routes directly at the AGES terminals with the AS 24 EUROTRAFIC card.

There are over 3,500 AGES points of sale, including 450 located in TOTAL stations. This last solution does not require you to register with Toll Collect.

The transaction takes place immediately and is displayed later on your AS 24 invoice, which you can see in your Customer Area any time.
